A4E Publcity suggests Larry Lamb was lazy,Larry Lamb got to the real issues

Well one week to go and the publicity has started.I was under the impression this show was about the unemployed,so far all i have heard is publicity promoting A4E.

I am then saddened to see how they are suggesting Larry Lamb was Lazy, and was not interested.I can tell you this is so far from the truth,Larry was getting to the heart of the real issues,he was listening, and also giving guidance.I also witnessed Emma Harrison apologising and accepting Larry was doing it a different way,but unearthing some real issues.I still have had no contact from A4E,they should be spending there time helping people like me,rather than using publicity to attack a celebrity, who really did try.

I never received any answers from A4E,Emma Harrison was meeting ministers in January, she said she would bring up my issues, have i heard a word,no,am i surprised,no.

So please A4E,can we really focus on what the programme is about, which is the unemployed, there issues, and not suggesting a celebrity is lazy.

Famous Rich Jobless airs 9TH/10TH March

Well yes i am happy the programme is about to air,but i really do hope it is not being used as a publicity machine for A4E.If people are unsure who A4E are they are a private recruitment company used by the Government at a cost to the tax payer,to help people back to work.I may be wrong but the feeling i have so far is that this company are using the programme and the people in it ,for their gain.I have already mentioned my experience was poor,Emma Harrison who heads the company paid me a visit,to coincide with the film crew being there.

I was given many false promises, and basically now i feel it was just words,i have E mailed Emma on numerous occasions as she requested, but she only ever returned one e mail.Maybe this is because the cameras are no longer running.I have never even received a leaflet in the post from them,i will let you make your own conclusion, lets hope i am wrong.

Once again Larry Lamb has been in touch, really quite amazing. He does not have to do this but i think he realises what a positive impact he has, knowing someone cares.

I have applied for another 6 jobs this week,no feedback from JET2.com as promised, why do these companies do this,it really does not help you.

Sadly because the 12 Months is up,it seems like it is time to start filling out forms again, this week i have received the form for the free school meals,i hate this so much.

So really to sum up i only hope Famous Rich Jobless gives ME a voice and not A4E,and i am given an opportunity in some way to have my say after the programme.
I would also welcome any comments about A4E,your opinions etc.

Not long Now,lets hope Larry Lamb highights the issues

Yes i feel within the next 4 weeks the BBC Famous Rich Jobless programme will air, with myself and Larry Lamb.I have taken a big gamble to take part, but it had come at a time ,when i had nothing to loose.I have tried to get help with the issues reference training, job centre plus etc,and being honest it has fell on deaf ears.My signing on this week once again was timed at less than 10 minutes, this is the only contact i get.I have applied for another 15 vacancies this week, but now my issue is PDF format, application forms are being sent out in this,if you do not have it on your computer,or cannot spare the cash to get it ,you cannot download the form.I feel this is where the help should be targeted,as every day, week, month that goes by the finances just cannot stretch to these costs.

After 12 months i am now at the stage where jobs in the house need doing, they just do not get done, equipment is failing they do not get replaced,so slowly but surely i am loosing all i had. When Larry visited he built my confidence so much, but i feel myself slipping back.I very much thank the regular calls from Larry, the production team from Love Productions,it is so nice to know they care.

I would so much like to call them soon and say I HAVE GOT A JOB,i owe it to myself family and everyone who has supported me.So all in all i am still trying,i will not give up hope, but sometimes feel no one is interested, but i do thank all people who have tried to help me.

Thursday, 21 January 2010

I am 45 years old married with a family.I have just endured 12 months of hell.I feel the experiences i have encountered would be valuable to a newly unemployed person.I just need help and advice on a route forward.I am taking part in a BBC show this year due to be aired Feb/March 2010,named famous rich jobless.I am hoping this how will highlight some of the issues and pain that is caused by redundancy.I have never had any advice in 12 months,it is a mine field out there,as a very proud man was reluctant to claim benefits, but the day finally did come, but no advice was ever given.
I have over recent months lost all confidence in myself, this is the most dangerous symptom of being unemployed. It is much too late for the Government to offer help after 12 months, too much damage has been done,it should be after 12 weeks,i have many times attempted to highlight these issues, namely with Yvette Cooper, but as yet have never been given the chance.
Our job centres are full of young advisers with no recruitment experience, supposedly there to give us advice, all they do is be little you and knock your confidence. Please help me promote my issues,in the public arena.I am not the only 45 year old man out of work,we hear of help for the young, but never for my age. Please i have over 20 years managerial experience,do not write me off.Any help you or anyone can give will be a big help.
